Country and Lace Florist Tips

Tip #1. When having an outdoor event you have to consider the wind, especially near the water. Make sure all large plants and flower arrangements are put in heavy pots or urns. Make sure all arches and tents are tied down and aisle cloths are pinned down just before wedding begins.

Tip #2 Select a bouquet style that flatters your figure as well as your dress and personality. Your bouquet should be proportioned to complement your size. Be sure to carry something you like , as the flowers you carry as you walk down the aisle will be one of your fondest memories of the day. Bouquets held in front should be low enough to reveal beautiful details of the gown. Hold with both hands as if the arms were resting on the hips.

Tip #3 Instead of renting a plain Unity Candelabra let me create one for you with 2 tall taper candles and 1 fat column candle nestled in a beautiful arrangement. Can be placed on a small table or on one of my white columns.

Tip #4 When using a large tent for your reception instead of an expensive liner we can drop 2 large kissing balls from the peeks. All mixed greens or solid flower balls. From $75.00 to $ 500.00. Or I have 2 iron chandeliers with 5 arms and globes that burn votive candles. They are only $65.00 rental fee which includes us hanging them. Look great hanging down from the peeks of tents or in rustic venues.

Tip #5 When having a wedding around a holiday like Christmas or Valentines Day try not to use red roses or red flowers. They are often more then double in price to us and we have to charge much more to our customers. In spring and fall seasonal flowers are great and prices are fine. I love the bold fall colors and berries and in the spring the lighter more English garden styles.

Tip #6 Bouquets come in trends just like clothes. I am seeing a slight trend back to cascading bouquets which are in the holders. We now have silver tussy mussy holders we can use and are beautifull.
